Tailored medical setup: At Smith EMS, we understand the unique needs of your tournament. When covering multiple rinks, courts, or fields, our medics will setup an HQ to remain reachable, but also roam throughout the sites to ensure constant visibility.
Walkie-talkies: To maintain a line of constant communication, we offer complimentary walkie-talkies to be provided to your event. These can be used for your staff to reach our medics, oftentimes in hockey for example, the walkie will be left with the timekeeper of each rink so that the medic can swiftly respond to injuries across various playing fields.
Flexible coverage: Our team of medics can scale to fit any tournament. We typically recommend a maximum of 3 courts/fields/rinks per medic, however we can always schedule additional coverage for your tournament. What events are we talking about? Smith EMS covers sporting events across the midwest with sports EMTs, EMRs, and Paramedics. In addition to sports, have experience covering athletic events like 5k’s, 10k’s, triathlons, and more.
Customized medic suggestions: We’ll work with your event directly to assess the medical needs. You can choose to have anywhere between 1 and 15 medics working your event depending on the expected attendance and activity.
Athletic injury knowledge: Compared to our competition in the event medical space, we focus on providing sports EMS. What this means is that our medics are specially trained to deal with orthopedic and muscular injuries in order to determine the best treatment and next steps.
Event-specific medical setup: Depending on the event, our medics can setup and remain at a specified medical tent. Another common option is to spread our medics throughout a race course, or have medics roaming zones with higher activity. Our team will work with you to determine the optimal placement for visibility and event safety.
