Meet the team…
Three words that effectively capture the essence of the exceptional Smith EMS sports medical team are: knowledgeable, due to their extensive expertise in emergency medical care, specific to the world of athletics; experienced, showcasing years of practical experience in handling various first aid and medical situations; and communicable, highlighting their strong ability to effectively communicate with patients, parents, event staff, and fellow medical professionals.
Our team is comprised of trained Emergency Medical Services Professionals from across the Greater Twin Cities Metro area. We selectively hire staff certified as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs), and Paramedics.
Meet the owner…
I’m Chase Smith, the original founder and owner of Smith EMS. Through dedicated service at numerous sporting events and gatherings in the Twin Cities over the years, I have gathered a wealth of knowledge and key insights on delivering top-notch Onsite Sports EMS in Minnesota and the Greater Midwest.
With a lifelong servant-attitude, my focus has always been to aid others in any way possible. Growing up playing hockey, then eventually moving to ref and direct games and tournaments, medical stood out as the best of both worlds. Knowing the sports and events world, it was clear there was a growing gap of premium event medical coverage, bringing me the idea of expanding my operations and assembling the finest team of sports and event medics in the Twin Cities, comprising the exceptional crew we have today.
Why Us?
Here are our 3 differentiating principles that we teach to each member of our medical team.
-
Patients & Clients are our top priority. Throughout the booking process we will work alongside you to make the booking and planning seamless. On the event day, we are here to help you with what you need.
-
Through our “be the medic” training our team learns how to properly respond to and lead high-stress, high-risk scenarios. We’re here to help provide the top quality of patient care in the field, making crucial decisions based on patient history, mechanism of injury, and patient complaints.
-
We maintain clear and constant communication by providing real-time updates to parents during injuries, ensuring they are informed every step of the way. Smith EMS is committed to keeping everyone involved and prioritizing effective communication throughout the event to ensure top-quality care.
